Nursery Art for our little Olivia Ryan

December 1, 2010

Well, the big day was October 21, 2010.  Olivia was born at 2:04PM and life as I know it has forever changed.  It’s pretty crazy how much love you can have for someone you’ve only known for 2 seconds.  But I guess that’s what it’s like for any new parent.  I haven’t posted anything here since September as the last weeks of pregnancy are filled with anxiety and sleepless nights.  However, that was child’s play compared to the case of sleep deprivation I have now.  Although I do long for the “soon to come” fuller nights of sleep, I can’t complain.  Well, I could…but I’ll spare you the drama.  :)

Before Olivia came, I started working on the artwork for her nursery.  I could have just gone a purchased some pieces…but that seems silly since I have all the supplies and talent needed right here at home.  I wanted to share some of the work with you.

Here’s the big one I painted:

Now, I was fortunate enough to have some other artists join in.  Her dad was next….

And then a truly special treat…my 6 yr. old niece Annika, who actually named Olivia :) , wanted to have her work featured as well.  Sorry these pics are a bit green…but the lighting today pretty much sucks.  I’ll have to take new pics later.

More art from Annika

I do have additional work to feature…but I think I’ll wait til I have better lighting in there.  Now, I couldn’t end this post without a pic of our girl Olivia…afterall…it is her room.

Welcome the best art possible...Miss Olivia
